the thing that gets me about about barbie is that barbie land wasn’t even purposefully a matriarchy, barbie land came about because of the way little girls were playing with their barbies, it wasn’t created by mattel it was created by the people using the toys, so the fact that the barbies ignored the ken’s and had girls night every night wasn’t because they had some bias against him, it was just an accurate depiction of how kids play with barbies. I had some ken dolls as a child and they were essential to the plot in the sense that of course my barbie has a boyfriend because that represented the world i saw around me, but also he didn’t have any purpose in my dream world because i was only interested in what the girls were doing because they represented me and how i wanted to be, I wanted girls night every night I wanted the girls to be president and austronauts and not because of some inherent feminist idea but because I was a girl and I wasn’t thinking about boys, ken was an accessory. this movie wasn’t made to change the world but it showed a different perspective than what we usually see which I thought was fun. Men don’t have to be the centre of all our stories and its not even because we hate them, sometimes we’re just not thinking about them

he didn’t have to spend years upon years with Obi-Wan for the Force- for the Jedi- to mean something to him. it just did. naturally. because he heard what the clones said about Obi-Wan and the Jedi and he trusted them and it wasn’t just him.
they all trusted and loved their generals, and the Jedi trusted and loved them in return. and that’s why Order 66 is SO deeply gutting
Neil Gaiman and the Good Omens team deserve so much better than to have something like this spoiled. It’s one thing for Amazon Prime to accidentally spoil something, but it’s entirely something else for “fans” to keep sharing the photo/video around.
It’s just over a month to wait. I’m sure you’re capable of waiting that long. Aziraphale and Crowley waited 11 years to see if their plans worked out, you can wait a month for season two.

Miguel’s wrong by the way. About Miles being the ultimate anomaly. Yes, the spider that bit him came from another dimension, and yes that universe is without a Spider-Man, but it was already in Alchemax’s hands, and whoever Miguel thinks was “supposed” to be Spider-Man was never gonna be Spider-Man, even if Miles was never bitten. And the fact that he was, thatagainst all odds this spider found a way to him from an entity that captured dozens of spiders just like it, that it came all the way from another universe, arguably signifies that Miles being Spider-Man may not be the freak accident Miguel makes it out to be
In the theater listening to Miguel rant and rave at Miles and using 1610 Peter’s name against him, I thought to myself, “If RIPeter was there, he’d be defending Miles. ‘You’re dead wrong about him. If you try to touch him again, you’ll have to go through me.’”
